Eddy Kenzo rated among the most watched artists on Bill Board

As Singer Eddy Kenzo waits for the reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to offer him consular services in order to resume to his home home country Uganda, the Tweyagale singer is achieving continental recognition.

Just a few days back, he was listed and rated amongst the most viewed artistes on Youtube by the internationally acclaimed music magazine Billboard.
This comes just weeks after receiving a Gold Play button by Youtube for passing one million subscribers.
With an average viewing of 109.73m, the Tweyagale singer is rated 13th on the list of the viewed top Sub Saharan African artistes.
According to this site’s website, this was based on his digital sales and number of online views, for the period from June 2019 to June 2020.
However, it is also said that list was compiled with data from the listed artistes over the period of the last 20 years (since 2000).
The list is topped by Nigeria’s self proclaimed African giant Burna Boy (435.57m), Diamond Platnumz ( 291.98m), Davido (285.76m) Fally Ipupa (186.5m), Wiz Kid( 176.23m) and others.

Artists Petition Parliament Over New Regulations.

Performing artists under the National Union of Creative Performing Artists and Allied Workers have reached out to Parliament over the recently issued regulations to their industry terming them as draconian. The group led by musician, Halima Namakula, met the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, and argued that the new regulations will encumber the activities of the entertainment industry. President Museveni in his 16th address on Corona virus updates speaks about the reopening of schools and other educational institutions and he said Education institutions will stay closed. Its still too risky to open schools. In the meantime, government will launch a big long-distance education programme through radios. Each homestead will get a radio set.
